Tour of Positano & Sorrento

The splendid city of Positano, a wonder carved on the hills leading down to the sea of the Amalfi Coast (Costiera Amalfitana), is a little jewel embedded in one of the most beautiful landscapes of the Italian coast. The famous caves of Positano, such as the Grotta di Copriglione, the Grotta di Mezzogiorno or the Grotta del Generale, are a place to see, accompanied by a guide you'll be breathless in front of the immense beauty of this natural work of art. The historic Saracen Towers, built during the second half of the 16th century by Pietro da Toledo were sighting towers. When the first one, Punta di Campanella, saw the enemy fleet, raised the alert to the other towers that alerted the people in the city, who took refugee in the highest parts of it to get ready if it was attacked.
A few miles away from Positano, our driver will take you to Sorrento. A city with Etruscan origins, summer residence to the Roman Patricians and desired by the Goths, the Lombard and the Byzantines. In spite of the sack of the Turkic peoples in 1558, Sorrento is a city rich in history, and a splendid maritime location. We recommend to visit Palazzo Correale, Palazzo Veniero, the Basilica and the Chiesa dei Servi di Maria.
